So Punk Rock (www.kosherpunkrock.com) rocks on, having been named a Sydney Taylor Notable Book for Young Adults, and winning an Independent Publishing (IPPY) award silver medal in the multicultural YA category. I must say, the shiny new sticker on our cover is a little too fancy to be truly punk rock, but I do love the way it looks.

We're also looking at early cover designs for my 2011 titles, Family (Egmont US, May 2011), and What Would My Cellphone Do? (Puffin, Summer 2011), and I'm hoping to have something to show soon! Cover images always make a work-in-progress feel more real. Exciting!

In the meantime, I'll be at the Vermont College of Fine Arts alumni mini-residency this upcoming weekend, leading a panel on teaching. And on August 2nd, I'll be joining debut novelist Justin Kramon at McNally Jackson Books for a reading and discussion. Justin's new book, Finny, has received glowing advanced praise.
