Micol Ostow has published over 40 works for children, tweens, and teens. Her first hardcover novel, Emily Goldberg Learns to Salsa, was named a New York Public Library Books for the Teen Age selection. Like David, Micol endured 13 years of Jewish day school and came out the other end with enough affection intact to inspire an entire book set in that unique, quirky, and quasi-unbelievable world. Unlike David, she does not draw, or play music. She does, however, sing in the shower -- and totally rocks it out. She lives in Manhattan with her filmmaker fiance and a persnickety French Bulldog named Bridget Jones. Visit Micol at: www.micolostow.com

David Ostow was born and raised in South Orange, New Jersey. As a teenager, he played guitar in a garage band that managed to come in last place in a battle of the bands held at the local Jewish Community Center. When the band thing didn't work out he went off to college, eventually deciding to train as an architect which is why he draws buildings better than people. He currently lives in Hoboken New Jersey, works as a designer in New York City and sleeps anywhere no one will bother him. Visit David at: www.davidostow.com
