Oh, hi! Welcome to all things me! I've been working in publishing for ages and ages. I was a children's book editor for nearly a decade, and began writing professionally in 2004. Since then I've written (or ghostwritten) over 50 published works. I received my MFA in Writing for Children and Young Adults from the Vermont College of Fine Arts, and can often be found teaching workshops in writing for young readers. Sometimes I write creepy stories for older teens. Sometimes I write funny stories for early readers. Sometimes I drink too much coffee and spend too much time taking photos of my dog.

My most recent release is the chapter book series LOUISE TRAPEZE, from Random House. Books 1 and 2 are out now in paperback, and book 3 will release in hardcover and paperback this September (but you can pre-order your copy now)! Click through the graphics on this page to learn more about the August Chapter Book Champions promotion -- where you can read books and earn a gold medal -- and where I will be presenting Louise with Random House and Brightly’s Story Stop tour.

Next up is the YA paranormal mystery THE DEVIL AND WINNIE FLYNN, coming in paperback from Soho Teen, also this September.

I live and work in Brooklyn, NY, alongside my Emmy Award-winning husband, our two daughters, and a finicky French bulldog. It's pretty much the best.
